iGMA: Kapuso stars to watch out for in 2011

Naglabas ng listahan ang iGMA.tv ng mga Kapuso stars na sa tingin nila ay dapat abangan dahil this Year of the Rabbit, it's their time to shine. Solenn Heussaff We first got an in-depth look at her when she became one of the finalists on Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown. She’s a painter, a singer, a make-up artist, a designer, and a model.

Solenn Heussaff is adding another job to her impressive resume: actress. Siya ang bagong leading lady ni Richard Gutierrez sa pagbabalik ng Mars Ravelo’s Captain Barbell. We’re already a fan of her stunning looks, and we’re definitely looking forward to seeing her acting chops this year. Bela Padilla Bela began her journey with GMA sa very successful Philippine remake ng hit Korean drama Endless Love: Autumn In My Heart playing Yumi, ang fiancé ni Johnny. Watch out for Bela as she takes on this new role – and this step up – in her career this year. Paulo Avelino It may have taken Paulo Avelino a while to get to the top, but he’s there now and he’s certainly determined to prove he deserves it. Since joining Starstruck back in 2006, Paulo has been in several television shows and has shown promise in his acting skills. But 2011 just might be his year, with his year starting with his first ever lead role in Alakdana alongside the next person in our list. It’s time for Paulo to put his leading man potential to use. Louise delos Reyes She’s part of the group that made waves all over the country last year – the Tween stars. Their show Tween Hearts was extended dahil sa dami ng mga fans na tumatangkilik sa kanila. But this year, Louise is breaking away from the group to take a step up in her career as the takes the title role in Alakdana, her first solo lead role. Ito ang unang beses na makikita siya ng kaniyang mga fans in a more dramatic role kaya naman Louise is out to prove herself to her fans – and to the showbiz industry – this year. Jake Vargas Marami siyang pinakilig with his song ‘Ngiti’ from First Time, and ngayon ay patuloy siyang nagpapakilig sa Tween Hearts. He’s also part of the core group of Tween stars considered to be the ‘Tween Royalties’ of the Kapuso network. We believe that it’s Jake’s time to shine this year, dahil tuloy-tuloy lang ang kanyang pagsikat bilang isang actor, and he also has an album that makes his tween fans fall in love with his voice over and over again. Jake hopes that his career will continue to soar in 2011, and we believe it will. Now, Sam Pinto will be joining the cast of Mars Ravelo’s Captain Barbell. With her good looks and her talent, Sam is sure to shine along with the rest of the artists on this list this year. Akihiro Sato He was on our list in 2010, and he shone as a kontrabida earlier that year. But his true shining moment was when he became the first Celebrity Sole Survivor in Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown. This year, Akihiro makes his reappearance in our stars to watch out for in 2011. And because he wants to shine as a good guy, and he will begin to show this side in one of GMA’s latest offerings, ang Mars Ravelo’s Captain Barbell. Let’s see how Mr. Nice Guy makes this side of him sparkle this year. Jillian Ward She quickly rose to fame when she got the title role in Trudis Liit this year, at marami ang natuwa sa cute na boses niya as she said ‘Andiyan na po!’ She also had her first movie this past year, ang Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote. This year, kabilang si Jillian Ward sa pinakaaabangang cast ng Mars Ravelo’s Captain Barbell. This child wonder truly is on her way up, and her star can only shine bigger and brighter this year. - Karen de Castro, iGMA.TV
