Hijacked Philpost van found in Cavite — report

A delivery van of the Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) carrying local and international mail was found abandoned in a subdivision in Cavite province Friday night. Radio dzBB reported Saturday the van (SGV-238) was found in Bucandala V village in Imus town. The van was found unlocked and its cargo gone, the report said. Police are still looking for leads on who hijacked the van and its contents. Earlier Friday, unidentified armed men commandeered the Suzuki minivan-type delivery vehicle in Silang, Cavite. Lawyer Antonio de Guzman, officer-in-charge Postmaster General and chief executive officer of PhilPost, said the van was also carrying valuable packages from Japan at the time of the incident. — LBG, GMANews.TV
