Ateneo entrance results released

Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) released on Saturday the results of its entrance examinations for college freshmen, as well as its list of scholars for school year 2011-2012. Applicants may now go to the ADMU website to confirm if they have passed the Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET), the university said via a 2:21 p.m. tweet on its Twitter account. In lieu of a full list, ADMU posted on its site a form wherein applicants can enter their names to check the status of their applications. ADMU also announced the names of the Ateneo Freshman Merit Scholars and Ignacio de Loyola Merit Scholars for SY 2011-2012. The full list of scholars may be viewed here. "Every year, thousands of students all over the Philippines apply for a place in the Ateneo, but because of the highly competitive nature of the application process, only very few eventually make it to the freshman class," ADMU said on its website. "And of these very few, there are those who have excelled in the Ateneo College Entrance Test, who distinguished themselves in their respective high schools and who also show great promise for the future – truly the best of the best," the ADMU added..—TJ Dimacali/JV, GMANews.TV
