David Fincher wins directing prize at Golden Globes

BEVERLY HILLS, California— David Fincher has won the directing prize at the Golden Globes for the Facebook drama "The Social Network," which is shaping up as the leader with three awards at the show. Acting winners Sunday included Annette Bening as best actress in a musical or comedy for the lesbian-family tale "The Kids Are All Right" and Christian Bale and Melissa Leo for the supporting-acting categories for the boxing drama "The Fighter." The Globe wins solidify their prospects for the Academy Awards on Feb. 27, where Bale is a strong favorite and Bening and Leo are solid contenders. "The King's Speech," which had a leading seven Globe nominations, was shut out early on, though Colin Firth is considered the likely winner for best dramatic actor. — AP
