Report: 4 rescued after pump boat stalls off Cebu

At least four people were rescued after their pump boat stalled when it encountered big waves off Cebu province Friday. Radio dzBB's Cebu affiliate reported the pump boat was on its way back to Talisay City in Cebu from Bohol when it encountered big waves. The report said the passengers, identified as Allan and Jacinto Marania; Carl Baldo; and Stephen Campo, were safe and managed to return home. An initial investigation showed the four had brought a relative to Bohol province and were on their way home when they encountered big waves. The Coast Guard said the pumpboat was found off Naga town in Cebu. Officials of Naga town and Talisay City coordinated to help bring the four home. — RSJ, GMANews.TV
