Phivolcs: Magnitude-3.5 quake rocks Misamis

A predawn magnitude-3.1 quake rocked the Misamis area in Mindanao on Monday but there was no report of damage or casualty. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was recorded at 3:58 a.m., and was tectonic in origin. In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the quake's epicenter was 50 kilometers (km) northeast of Oroquieta City in Misamis Occidental. However, it did not immediately cite specific areas where the quake was felt. Phivolcs said no damage or aftershock was expected from Monday's predawn quake. – VVP, GMANews.TV
