'Busy' birthday for PNoy next week

President Benigno Simeon Aquino III will have a hectic schedule when he celebrates his 51st birthday next week. The day will be so busy that the staff members of Aquino are trying to free the weekend either before or after his birthday for him to have time to celebrate. The President’s birthday is on February 8, Tuesday. “I understand from the President na busy siya sa birthday niya. I know for a fact that he has work on Feb 8 so ang inaayos kung anong weekend siya pwede magbreak, either before the birthday or after the birthday," presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda told reporters. Lacierda did not say what activities were lined up for the President on his birthday. Asked for his wish for the President, Lacierda said he hopes Aquino will continue to serve the government and the country. “Patuloy siyang magsilbi ng tunay sa ating pamahalaan, sa ating bansa. I believe in the President. The reason why I joined the government is that I believe in the advocacies of the president and I continue to believe that he is doing the right thing for our country," he said. “I pray that God will bless him in all his dealings and protect him from any danger," added Lacierda. – VVP, GMANews.TV
