PAGASA: Flash floods, landslides threaten south Palawan

Flash floods and landslides from a cold front threaten southern areas in Palawan province, state weather forecasters said Saturday. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the tail-end of a cold front is affecting southern Luzon and Visayas. In its 5 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA also said the northeast monsoon is prevailing over Northern and Central Luzon. "Southern Luzon and Visayas will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over Southern Palawan which may trigger flashfloods and landslides," it said. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough, it added. — LBG, GMANews.TV
