PDEA nabs pusher in Tuguegarao buy-bust operations
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Sunday said it nabbed a frequent law violator, this time for selling metamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in Tuguegarao City. PDEA director-general Jose Gutierrez Jr. said in a statement that Agnes Pebenito Badion was under "tight watch" of the anti-drug agency and the Philippine National Police before her arrest on Feb. 3. Gutierrez said two transparent packets containing suspected shabu, a marked P500 bill, and an iPhone China unit were confiscated from Badion during the buy-bust operation. Badion violated the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, according to the PDEA official. Badion was classified as "inactive" following her arrest for peddling shabu on Oct. 3, 2007. She was released after a chemical analysis of the evidence yielded negative of shabu, the agency said. She was again caught and jailed on two separate occasions in September 2008 and March 2009 for theft. — JE/VS, GMA News Online
