Report: Ex-Cavite mayor’s bodyguard shot, seriously wounded

The police are now looking for motorcycle-riding gunmen who allegedly shot and seriously wounded a bodyguard of a former Cavite town mayor on Sunday night. A report of radio dzBB’s Manny Vargas Monday said the men fled after shooting the victim, identified as Loreto Reyes, in Dasmariñas town. Reyes was a bodyguard of former Imus town mayor Manny Maliksi, the dzBB report said. The initial investigation showed that Reyes was shot on different parts of the body and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was said to be in critical condition. – VVP, GMA News Online
