Aquino has Valentine date but won't say who it is

The country’s first bachelor President has a date this Valentine’s day but he won’t say who it is. “Yes, I have plans and I wish to keep that to myself," President Benigno Simeon Aquino III replied when asked if he will be going on a date this Valentine's Day. Aquino's reply delighted the staff of the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City where he inaugurated the hospital's refurbished facilities on Monday. As the hospital staff cheered and applauded the President, a reporter asked him if his date would be Len Lopez, the stock broker whom he is reportedly dating. However, Aquino insisted, "As I said, I will keep my plans to myself." The 51-year old President said his schedule is tight even on Valentine's Day, which happens to be the birthday of his youngest sister, actress and tv host Kris Aquino. “I can’t take a day off for any day. Be it my birthday, Christmas, New Year, etc. I have to attend to my duties," he said. However, he said he manages to find time to relax despite his busy schedule. “Somehow you cannot really divorce yourself from the seriousness of the job and try to have a few light moments," Aquino said. Birthday wish for Kris Asked about his birthday wish for Kris, the President said he wanted her to continue to have the peace she is experiencing now. “Alam nyo magkasama kami noong isang araw meron siyang birthday celebration. Parang napakagaan ng dating niya, napakasaya niya," the President said. "Sabi ko kanya ipinagdarasal ko na sana tuloy tuloy ang kagaanan ng kalooban mo, parang absence of problems at yung nakikita kong masaya siya," he added. – VVP, GMA News
