Woman charged with trespassing at Ellen DeGeneres' home

LOS ANGELES — Prosecutors on Monday charged a woman with trespassing outside the home of comedian Ellen DeGeneres and actress Portia de Rossi. Karen Grace Sjoden, 49, pleaded not guilty in Beverly Hills Superior Court and faces a trial on March 7. Sjoden was detained last week by private security at the Hollywood couple's home and was turned over to police, who arrested her. She was originally jailed on $5,000 bail, but the judge on Monday raised that amount to $200,000. DeGeneres hosts a hit daytime talk show and was a judge last year on top-rated TV program "American Idol."
