Carjacker-pusher nabbed in Bataan sting — report

A suspected drug pusher and carjacker was arrested in an anti-drug sting operation in Bataan province Saturday. Radio dwIZ reported police arrested the suspect, initially identified as Virgilio Ballos, 40, during the operation along McArthur Highway in Balanga City. Ballos was arrested after handing over a sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) to an undercover police agent in exchange for P1,000. Police who arrested him also found in his possession three more sachets of suspected shabu. On the other hand, police are now looking into Ballos' links to carjacking gangs after finding out the gray motorcycle he was riding was stolen. An initial record check showed the gray XRM-type motorcycle he was riding was stolen in Hermosa, Bataan last Jan. 16.—JV, GMA News
