2 gunmen kill Cotabato businesswoman — police

KIDAPAWAN CITY — A businesswoman was gunned down inside her rented house here, shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday. Police identified the victim as Judith Antolin, 42, owner of a restaurant and a resident of River Park, Barangay Poblacion in this city. Witnesses said two unidentified men went inside Antolin’s house and shot her many times in the head and chest. Antolin was resting in her porch at that time and tried to wrestle with one of the gunmen but a shot to her chest made her immobile. She sustained five gunshot wounds. The suspects fled onboard a motorcycle toward Sandawa Homes. Antolin had been receiving death threats in text messages from a number that was unassigned on her mobile phone, according to a relative who asked not to be named. — Malu Cadeliña Manar/VS, GMA News
