PAGASA: LPA to bring more rains over parts of Luzon

After experiencing rains Tuesday night, residents in Metro Manila can expect more rains on Wednesday due to a low-pressure area (LPA) off Palawan. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said "Central Luzon and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms," PAGASA said in its 5 a.m. bulletin. It said that as of 2 a.m. Wednesday, the LPA was estimated at 380 km West of Puerto Princesa City in Palawan. PAGASA said strong to gale force winds are expected to affect the seaboards of Northern Luzon and eastern seaboard of Central and Southern Luzon. — LBG, GMA News
