PMA official shot dead in Baguio


The head of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Department of Air Warfare was shot dead by a lone gunman near his house in Baguio City past 5 p.m. on Thursday, according to a PMA official. PMA Public Information Office's Capt. Agnes Lynnete Flores said Lt. Col. Ferdinand Macasaet, member of PMA Class 1989, died of multiple gunshot wounds when a still unidentified gunman shot him near his home in Pinesville Subdivision, barangay Kias, Baguio City. Flores said the motive of the killing has yet to be determined, as the Baguio City Police is still conducting its investigation. The PMA will provide funeral assistance to the family of Macasaet, according to Flores.—JMA/JV, GMA News
