2 of 3 gas station robbers killed in Taytay shootout

Two of three suspected robbers were shot dead in an encounter with police shortly after robbing a gas station in Taytay, Rizal Wednesday afternoon. Radio dzBB reported the three suspects held up the Flying-V gas station at the Techno Park in Taytay town at about 1:30 p.m. Police said the three were about to flee aboard a motorcycle when they chanced upon a police patrol team. A firefight then ensued. Two of the suspects were killed while the third managed to escape. A manhunt is now ongoing for the escaped suspect. It could not be immediately determined how much was taken from the gasoline station and if the same had been recovered. — RSJ, GMA News
