Woman survives 11-story fall in Makati condo

A 20-year-old woman survived a fall of at least 11 stories in a condominium building in Makati City Wednesday. Police initially identified the woman as Eldelyn Montono, who fell from the 18th floor of the Paseo Park Tower building to the swimming pool on the seventh floor, according to a radio dzBB report. Makati City police chief Senior Superintendent Froilan Bonifacio said Montono was in stable condition after she was rushed to the Makati Medical Center for treatment.
Initial investigation showed Montono was visiting her boyfriend, a Korean, at the condominium, located at Valero Street in the city's central business district. However, police are still determining if Montono jumped from the 18th floor or was pushed. They also said they are trying to determine if she was drunk at the time she fell. A separate report on dzRH radio said Makati police are now looking for items like a suicide note that would indicate the possibility of Montono having problems with her boyfriend.—JV, GMA News
