Chico and Delamar reveal big news on air

Many people look forward to Fridays but listeners of RX 93.1's "The Morning Rush" were especially excited on this particular Friday as they expected to hear big news on the radio. After radio hosts Chico and Delamar announced "The Big Reveal" on their daily program on Thursday, the loyal listeners, called the Rushers, have been waiting for them share the big news. "We didn’t really hype it much, just said it in passing, then closed the show," said Chico on his blog. He and Delamar made several tweets about the news, and the hype quickly caught on. Chico tweeted on Thursday: "Kidding aside, listen tomorrow 9am for a "big reveal". Trust me, you'd want to be there. Good or bad? Basta. Epic na epic. ;-)" When people began pressing for more information, Chico remained secretive, providing "clues" only by selecting five tweets relevant to "The Big Reveal." The reactions on Twitter can be seen with the hashtag #BigReveal and #TheBigReveal. This morning, Chico and Delamar prolonged the anticipation, even featuring the top 10 craziest theories for the "BIG REVEAL" for their daily top ten list. "The Big Reveal," as it turns out is that Delamar is pregnant, something more than a few people were actually close to guessing. "Buntis si @delamarRX931 at si @chicogarcia ang ama??? *whoa* O_O" said a tweet by junatski. "Mas nakakawindang kapag si @chicogarcia ang buntis at si @delamarRX931 ang ama! LOL" by tristantrakand. Chico is not the father Although Chico is not the father, excitement about "The Big Reveal" had taken its toll on him, and he developed a fever the night before they revealed the news. Even working Rushers waited for "The Big Reveal" in their offices. "Nagalit ofism8 ko dahil di ko xa pinapansin coz im so focused on listening thru my headset about Delamar's big reveal," posted Joi Presbi. Others were late for work on purpose because they waited for Chico and Delamar to reveal the news. Still others stepped out of their offices to find a good spot to listen to The Morning Rush. Minutes after the announcement, the show's Facebook wall was flooded with messages of congratulations and advice. "Super congrats Del..nagpalate talaga ako para lang marinig ang The Big Reveal.." said Raymund Vergara. "All the best to you and the little life to be. I'm pretty sure you will be a fantastic mother. Take good care of your precious new gift. Congratulations! OMG! Baka mapaglihihan mo si Chico.." said Toni Lazo. "Congratulations Del! i'll share to you what my officemate said to me when I was pregnant, "Your life will never be the same again, but you'll definitely enjoy the change!" Always be safe!" said Marge Sangalang. Chico and Delamar both won at the 17th KBP Golden Dove Awards in 2008, as Best Games/Variety Program Host and Best Music Radio Jock, respectively.
