Fire hits area in Manila near San Lazaro Hospital


A fire of undetermined origin hit a residential-commercial area near the San Lazaro Hospital in Manila early Saturday. The fire at the corner of Remigio and Mayhaligue Streets in the Sta. Cruz district reached the fourth alarm as of 9:50 a.m., radio dzBB's Mao dela Cruz reported. No one was initially reported injured in the fire. Also, the report did not immediately say if the San Lazaro Hospital is preparing for the possibility of evacuating patients. Since Friday evening, firefighters had been battling a blaze that hit a warehouse in Parañaque City. The fire had yet to be declared "out" as of 9 a.m. Saturday — LBG, GMA News
