Bad weather diverts Macau-bound Cebu Pacific flight to HK

Filipino passengers in Macau were stranded on Tuesday after bad weather there forced a Cebu Pacific plane to divert to Hong Kong. Cebu Pacific spokeswoman Candice Iyog said the Filipinos in Macau waiting to take a flight to Manila may have to wait until Wednesday, or take a ferry to Hong Kong. "Sinubukan natin makalipad papunta Macau, kaya lang masama ang panahon sa Macau. Ang flight instead of Manila-Macau, na-divert sa Hong Kong," Iyog said in an interview on dzBB radio on Tuesday. (We tried to fly to Macau but the weather is bad there. The flight, instead of Manila-Macau, was diverted to Hong Kong.) "Ang pasahero na papuntang Macau nabigyan na ng pang-ferry mula Hong Kong papuntang Macau. Ang pasahero sa Macau pa, dahil di naka-landing ang plane, we're giving them the option to rebook tomorrow," Iyog added. (Macau-bound passengers were given transportation fares for ferry rides from Hong Kong going to Macau. The passengers going to Macau, as the plane did not land there, we're giving them the option to rebook tomorrow.) The Manila-bound passengers in Macau can also take a ferry to Hong Kong where they can take the plane to Manila, she added. Iyog said there was no problem with the plane. – VVP, GMA News
