Maynilad: North Metro Manila, Bulacan to go waterless Monday

Parts of northern Metro Manila and Bulacan may go without water this coming Monday as water concessionaire Maynilad Water Services upgrades its pipe network there. Maynilad said it will replace butterfly valve along Gen. Luis Street corner Buenamar Ave. and Gen. Luis Street corner Damong Maliit Street in Novaliches, Quezon City. "The service improvement project will take place on March 28, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. of March 29 and interrupt water services in Barangays Pasong Putik, Sta. Monica, Gulod, Novaliches Proper, Nagkaisang Nayon, and Capri in Novaliches; the whole of Valenzuela; Barangays Llano and Kaybiga in Caloocan; and Obando and Meycauayan Bulacan," it said in an advisory Thursday night. Maynilad corporate communications head Cherubim Mojica said the valve replacement will result in increased water pressure in parts of Quezon City and would help in the efficient management of water in the West zone. The water concessionaire advised customers in the affected areas to store enough water for the duration of the service improvement project. Customers may call the Maynilad Hotline 1626 for updates and additional information. — LBG, GMA News
