Reward for dzME anchor’s killers now P150K

The reward money for information leading to the arrest of the killer of radio broadcaster Marlina "Len" Flores-Sumera was hiked to P150,000, the victim's mother station said Friday night. Radio dzME said Malabon City Canuto Oreta offered an additional P100,000 for information leading to the arrest of the assailants who killed Sumera. Earlier, the National Press Club (NPC) of the Philippines and Alyansa ng Filipinong Mamamahayag (AFIMA) had offered a P50,000 reward for information that will help solve the case. An earlier report by dzME quoted NPC vice president Marlon Purificacion as saying that even if the supposed motive for the crime was a land dispute, the killing of a journalist should not be taken lightly. Sumera was gunned down in Malabon City Thursday morning, while preparing to go to dzME studios in Caloocan City to host her public service program.
