Kin of 2 of 3 executed Pinoys in China due home Wednesday night

After meeting with their loved ones for the last time, relatives of two of three Filipino drug mules executed in China will return home to the Philippines Wednesday night. Philippine consul Noel Novicio said the families of Sally Villanueva and Ramon Credo, who along with Elizabeth Batain were executed in China Wednesday morning, were to take a flight home within the day. "We understand nag-check out sila sa hotels especially ang Credo and Villanueva families sa Xiamen. Ang Batain irerespeto natin ang kanilang kahilingan na irespeto ang kanilang privacy," Novicio said in an interview on dzBB radio. (We understand that they checked out of their hotels, particularly the kin of Credo and Villanueva, in Xiamen. As for Batain, we respect her family's request for privacy.)

Novicio also said steps will be taken to ensure the remains of the three will be given to their respective families. "May gagawing hakbang, napagkasunduan ng dalawang panig ang hakbang na gagawin (There will be steps that will be taken. All parties concerned have agreed on the steps to be taken)," he said.
