9th Pinoy fatality in NZ quake named

A ninth Filipino was confirmed dead in the magnitude-6.3 quake that hit Christchurch last month, New Zealand police said. Jessie Lloyd Redoble, 30, was among three fatalities whose names the New Zealand police released on Wednesday. Likewise confirmed dead Wednesday were Yoko Sakurai, 27, of Japan; and Susan Lyn Selway, of Christchurch. It said this brings the total number of names released to 169. Earlier confirmed dead and whose remains were brought to the Philippines were:

Lalaine Agatep;

Jewel Francisco;

Erica Nora;

Ivy Jane Cabunillas;

Mary Louise Amantillo; and

Valquin Bensurto. Other Filipino fatalities earlier identified included:

John Kristoffer Villegas Chua, 24;

Emmabelle Cabahug Anoba, 26; Still missing are:

Ezra Mae Medalle; and
