Pinoys condole with drug couriers' kin online


The online Filipino community sent messages of condolence and support to the families of three drug couriers shortly after learning of their execution in China at noon Wednesday. In messages on social networking sites Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace, Filipinos from various walks of life offered prayers for Sally Villanueva, Ramon Credo and Elizabeth Batain. 'God bless their souls' "May God bless your souls: Ramon Credo, Sally Ordinario-Villanueva and Elizabeth Batain," wrote @zsazsapadilla. "Peace to Ordinario,Batain & Credo. Condolences to their families. Rage for their recruiters. Condemnation of China's death penalty law," said @risahontiveros. "Mga kabayan saan mang sulok ng mundo, let's be vigilant not take any unverified luggage to take with you in route to your final destination abroad. Let us pray to those victims of drug mules by syndicates," added Cristiano Ofiana Dela Cruz via Facebook. "Deepest condolences to the families of the 3 OFWs executed in China. May God give them strength to (surpass) their loss. May our dear OFWs souls rest in the kingdom of our Creator," said @mhaanrevidad. Dissatisfaction over handling Still others expressed dissatisfaction over how the incident was handled. "Parusahan nalang din ng Death ng Gov't ang mga chinese na nahuli nila na mas worst pa ang mga cases... para patas," said Facebook user Alecx Mirandilla Martinez. "Can we stop referring to villanueva, bathain and credo as drug mules? They are human beings and filipinos," pointed out @tedte. MySpace user Jose Calooy‎ also chided media for overkill, at the expense of the privacy of the three executed Filipinos' families. "To all media interviewing the family of 3 OFW executed in China, konting respito naman sa mga pamilya ng biktima (To all media interviewing the family of the three OFWs executed in China, show some respect for their families)," he said on his MySpace page. "What a shame to all media covering from the family of 3 OFW executed in Lethal injection in China, inuuna pa ang interview (they were obsessed with interviews)," he added.
