MMDA bares alternate routes for Thursday's protest caravan

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Wednesday posted alternative routes for motorists to take on Thursday, when militant transport groups hold a protest caravan from Quezon City to Manila to protest high fuel prices. MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino also said the agency is ready to dispatch more than 60 vehicles to provide free transportation in case of a transport paralysis. "We will provide all the necessary services and manpower to make sure that the commuting public will not be inconvenienced by the protest action," Tolentino said in an article posted on the MMDA website. • For westbound vehicles: From Quezon Memorial Circle right to North Avenue, straight to EDSA, take U-turn slot at SM North, right to West Avenue, right to Del Monte, left to Araneta Avenue, then right to Ma. Clara Street, straight to Andalucia, to destination.
