BJMP orders probe of Ivler 'party' in jail

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BKMP) has ordered an investigation of reports that road rage suspect Jason Ivler allegedly partying inside the Quezon City Jail, where he is detained over murder charges. BJMP head Director Rosendo Dial ordered Quezon City jail warden Senior Superintendent Hernan Grande to explain the incident, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported on Friday. Dial referred to reports of photos and videos circulating on the Internet that Ivler was having parties inside the jail, with women and liquor allowed inside. The dzBB report said while Grande denied the charges, Dial warned the warden will be kicked out of his post if the charges are proven true. Ivler faces murder charges for allegedly shooting dead Renato Ebarle Jr., whose father Renato Sr. worked in the Office of the Executive Secretary in Malacañang, in a fit of road rage on Nov. 18, 2009. – VVP, GMA News
