Caught in the act: Cops catch Quiapo abortionist

Manila police on Sunday arrested a woman who was caught in the act of performing an abortion in a makeshift clinic in Quiapo district. Acting on a tip, the police caught one Maila Castro, a.k.a Lenlen, in what was deemed her abortion clinic at 24 Basan St., Quiapo, Manila, radio dzBB's Mao dela Cruz reported. According to the Manila Police District, Castro was performing the abortion on a bank employee who was two months pregnant. Castro was brought to the police station and the bank employee, whose identity was withheld, was brought to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center.
