Manila Water pipe 'leak' slows traffic along EDSA

A "leak" in the pipe of water concessionaire Manila Water slowed down traffic along a portion of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue and inconvenienced riders of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) in Mandaluyong City Tuesday. The leak disrupted traffic along the northbound part of EDSA between Boni Avenue and as far as Guadalupe in Makati City, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported.

The leak was placed under control before 9:00 a.m., even as Manila Water said the pipe may have been damaged due to heavy vehicles passing along EDSA. Before it was contained, the leak inconvenienced many motorists and MRT riders near the MRT's Boni Avenue station. Personnel from the Department of Public Works and Highways placed sandbags in the area. – VVP, GMA News
