Remains of executed drug mule due home Wednesday night

The remains of one of three Filipino drug mules executed in China last week, Sally Ordinario-Villanueva, are due to arrive in the Philippines on Wednesday night. A report by dzBB's Denver Trinidad said Villanueva's remains are due to arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) aboard a Philippine Airlines flight at 7:40 p.m. The report said relatives of Villanueva as well as concerned government agencies have made preparations to receive the remains. Villanueva's remains will be brought to their house at Batasan Hills village in Quezon City. Her family plans to bring Villanueva's remains to their home province, Isabela, on Thursday. A report by dzBB's Allan Gatus said Villanueva's father Geronimo Ordinario chose the clothes to fit on Villanueva's remains. Meanwhile, Geronimo lamented they have yet to receive the help promised them by government agencies. He said they have so far received only P4,600 from the Department of Social Welfare and Development. Villanueva was executed along with Ramon Credo and Elizabeth Batain on March 30 in China. The three were sentenced to death after being caught bringing in drugs to China in 2008. – VVP, GMA News
