Drug mule’s remains arrive in QC home

(Updated 8:45 a.m.) Hours after arriving in Manila Wednesday night, the remains of one of three Filipino drug mules executed in China last month were brought the Ordinario residence in Quezon City early Thursday.
The remains of Sally Ordinario-Villanueva were brought to her family's house in Batasan Hills from a funeral parlor around 8:12 a.m., radio dzBB reported. Grieving family members received the remains, which were brought to the Philippines aboard a Philippine Airlines flight from China Wednesday night. Among the early visitors who went there to pay her respects was Gabriela Rep. Luz Ilagan. Villanueva’s mother became emotional anew upon seeing the white casket bearing her daughter’s remains. She had wailed upon seeing the remains at the PAL cargo area Wednesday night. Sally was clad in a Filipiniana outfit inside the casket, the report said. On the other hand, family members said they are considering delaying bringing Villanueva’s remains to her home province of Isabela. Villanueva was one of three drug mules who were executed March 30. The two others were Ramon Credo and Elizabeth Batain. The three were caught bringing in drugs to China in 2008. — LBG, GMA News
