PHL labor attaché to Bahrain dies at 64


Philippine labor attaché to Bahrain Alejandro Santos died Thursday morning due to congestive heart failure at age 64, the Philippine Embassy in Bahrain said Friday. In an announcement posted on its website, the embassy said Santos’ remains lie in state at the Embassy at Villa 939, Road 3220 in Mahooz. “The late Mr. Santos served as welfare officer in Kuwait and in Madrid, Spain; and as labor attaché to Rome, Italy. He was the eldest among five brothers and two sisters. He was 64," it said. According to the embassy, a prayer service was held Thursday night at the Philippine Embassy for Santos. It added Masses for Santos had been scheduled at 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday. — LBG/RSJ, GMA News
