All-access pass to British royal wedding on GMA News TV

Every viewer who will tune in to GMA News TV on April 29 will have a guaranteed all-access pass to the wedding of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales to Catherine Middleton on that much-awaited day. GMA News TV will be airing live footage of the wedding by the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) via Reuters from 5 to 8 pm of that day. This belies rumors that a lone Philippine network has clinched the exclusive right to air the Royal Wedding in the Philippines. "There is no single rights holder to coverage and airing of the wedding," a foreign-based wire agency executive said. In addition, three of GMA Network’s top news anchors – Jessica Soho, Vicky Morales and Connie Sison – will be covering the event, backed by the network’s veteran field producers, cameramen, and London-based stringers. Beginning April 18 and up to the time the royal couple leave for their honeymoon, GMA News TV will provide British royalty watchers with daily news updates and trivia on the wedding. Viewers will be given insights on the historical context and protocol involved at every step of the event. GMA News TV will also be airing a special documentary by Indigo Films entitled "Kate and William: Inside the Royal Wedding" on April 24, the Sunday before the wedding. The documentary features interviews with the couple and their close friends as well as designers and suppliers involved in the historic event.—JV, GMA News
