NDRRMC names fatality in QC fire


The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Tuesday named the infant who perished in Monday's fire in Culiat village in Quezon City. The NDRRMC identified the fatality as Jorsen Ogsamen, one year and four months old. In a report posted on its website on Tuesday noon, the NDRRMC also said P2 million worth of property was destroyed in the fire. "There were 150 houses burned with about 450 families affected," the NDRRMC said. However, the NDRRMC said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.   • Nena Anthony The injured were brought to the East Avenue Medical Center for treatment. The fire started at 4:10 p.m. Monday at a two-story house at 161-B Purok 1, Luzon Avenue corner Commonwealth Avenue in Culiat village. It reached Task Force Alpha and was placed under contorol at 6:28 p.m., and was put out at 9:10 p.m. – VVP, GMA News
