DTI ‘Diskwento Caravan’ to roll on to Quezon City
From Pasig City, the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) “Diskwento Caravan" will move to Quezon City on Friday in an effort to sell basic and prime commodities at discounted prices. In a statement, the DTI said it will stage the Diskwento Caravan at the Quezon City Hall Plaza at the end of the work-week from 6 a.m. onwards. GMA News TV's Balitanghali reported the start of first leg of the caravan last month in Pasig.

The caravan will also sell fruits and vegetables as well as the produce of micro-, small, and medium enterprises at discounted prices. At the Diskwento Caravan site, the Mobile Skills and Entrepreneurs Training Center or Mo’Biz will also hold entrepreneurship seminars and skills training. After its stop in Quezon City, the DTI said the Diskwento Caravan will move to other parts of the country to reach more consumers. — PE/VS, GMA News
