Report: Fire hits Cebu mall, at least 2 injured


Fire of undetermined origin razed part of a mall in Cebu City Sunday, with radio reports indicating at least two people were injured. A report on dzXL radio said the fire started past 3 p.m. at one of the shops inside the Robinson's Place Cebu mall. The fire reached the second alarm as the Bureau of Fire Protection in the city deployed all available fire trucks to the site. A separate report on Visayas-based Bombo Radyo said that while customers inside the mall were rescued, at least two were injured. The Bombo Radyo report identified the injured as Rodver Bato Malaki of Minglanilla town in Cebu, and Robert Gepolan of Negros. — KBK, GMA News
