1 killed, 3 hurt in Chinatown road accident


At least one Chinese national was killed while three others were hurt after a sedan they were riding crashed into a post in Manila’s Chinatown district before dawn Monday. Police suspect the driver of the gray Toyota Camry was drunk when the car hit a post at San Fernando corner Juan Luna Streets in Binondo, Manila, radio dzBB’s Paulo Santos reported Monday. The report initially identified the fatality as one Xuan Xin, who was declared dead on arrival at the Metropolitan Hospital. It also identified the driver as a certain Tiu; and the two other injured as Ling-Ling. An initial investigation showed the Camry (XTF-668) hit the post and turned over at the corner of San Fernando and Juan Luna Streets. — RSJ, GMA News
