Special task force focuses on finding Pilar Pilapil's 'niece'
The special police task force formed to probe the assault on Pilar Pilapil is now focusing on the search for the 'niece' of the veteran actress. In a report aired over the program News To Go, reporter Lei Alviz of GMA News said Task Force Pilar is looking for Rosalie Jakosalem Peñas, the niece of Pilapil's partner who was taken by two armed men together with the actress' vehicle last week. However, the police refused to release any more details about the case. Police, meanwhile, have released a computerized artist sketch of one of the suspects involved in the assault.
"Pilar's praying that Rosalie will eventually contact her and say don't worry ate I'm okay," Pilapil's friend Rosary Benitez said during the same report. Peñas was reportedly visiting from Australia. Last week, two armed men forcibly boarded Pilapil's gold Kia car at the Marikina Riverbanks area. "Hindi siya nanlaban," Pilapil's brother Leo Pilapil said in an earlier press conference.
