PNoy to go on Visita Iglesia with his sisters

(Updated: 7:43 p.m.) President Benigno Simeon Aquino III will go with his sisters for Visita Iglesia this Holy Week. In an interview with reporters after inspecting Manila sea ports and airports, the President said he will allow his elder sister to determine the churches they will be visiting. "Nagyayaya ‘yung mga kapatid ng Visita Iglesia, kung anong simbahan ay hindi ko pa alam. Ipinauubaya ko sa nakatatanda sa amin," he said, referring to his eldest sister, Maria Elena A. Cruz. His three other sisters are Pinky Abellada, Viel Dee and TV host and personality Kris Aquino. Aside from visiting churches, the President will be busy studying and looking over several matters. "Maraming pag-aaralan, may homework in effect," he said. As for Easter Sunday, Aquino said he will devote that day to family. "May family time din, perhaps by Easter Sunday." he said. Visita Iglesia is a Catholic tradition many Filipinos practice by visiting seven churches, and pursuing the Stations of the Cross. — BC/VS/ GMA News
