Report: 21 hurt in Zamboanga road mishap

At least 21 people were reported injured when a passenger jeep and a car collided head-on in Zamboanga City Thursday. Police desk officer Oscar Fajardo said the victims were rushed to three hospitals, according to a report on the Mindanao Examiner. Fajardo cited initial reports showing the jeep was overtaking another vehicle when it collided head-on with the car around 10:30 a.m. at Upper Calarian, a seaside village. The report said police are verifying information the jeep driver, who was not immediately named, had no license to drive and that his jeep had expired registration papers.
