While there were no masses scheduled for the day, many churches were busy on Black Saturday, sprucing up for Easter Sunday. In many churches, workers cleaned up the premises and readied sound systems that would be used for the Easter vigil and Masses. Some churches had workers setting up bright cloths and lights for the Easter activities. Easter is considered the central feast in the Christian year, as it marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ. On Sunday, families are expected to go back to church and hear Mass to mark the end of the period the passion and death of Christ, and to welcome the glory of his resurrection. — LBG, GMA News
