Cops expand to Central Luzon hunt for radio dzBB coordinator's killer

The police on Monday expanded to Central Luzon their hunt for the man who stabbed dead a radio dzBB coordinator in Caloocan City on Saturday night. Metro Manila police chief Director Nicanor Bartolome said suspect Cesar Baguio may have fled to Bulacan, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported. Baguio remained at large on Monday, more than 24 hours after stabbing dead Edwin Ramos, a program coordinator of dzBB radio. The victim had tried to pacify Baguio, who had just stabbed another person at the time, but was himself stabbed. Ramos was rushed to the Tondo General Hospital after the incident. He had to be transferred to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMC) because the Tondo hospital lacked the equipment to treat Ramos. However, Ramos died while being brought to the JRRMMC. On Sunday, the police searched Baguio's last known residence in Dagat-Dagatan in Caloocan City but the suspect's relatives claimed he had not returned there since Saturday. In the meantime, the Northern Police District said it will continue watching over Baguio's neighborhood. - VVP, GMA News
