Hunt goes on for killer of radio dzBB coordinator


The manhunt goes on for the suspect who ran amuck and stabbed dead in Caloocan City a coordinator of radio dzBB on Holy Saturday. The Caloocan City police also charged Cesar Baguio with murder, frustrated murder and attempted murder before the city prosecutor’s office Monday, radio dzBB reported on Tuesday. Caloocan City police chief Senior Superintendent Jude Santos said Baguio had an intent to kill when he went into a frenzy and stabbed dead dzBB coordinator Edwin Ramos, 47. Baguio was also charged with frustrated murder and attempted murder for attacking Marvin Sauza, 37, and Emelita Rios, 54, in the city’s Dagat-Dagatan area. The investigation showed Baguio was having a drinking spree with friends when he went amuck on Holy Saturday. He was pacified but returned outside, with knives. Ramos tried to pacify Baguio but was stabbed. The victim was first rushed to the Tondo General Hospital. However, he died while being treated at the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center. Meanwhile, police continued their hunt for Baguio, who fled after the incident. Police have expanded the hunt to the provinces near Metro Manila. - VVP, GMA News
