Report: 3 security guards sacked for Holy Week theft at LTO

At least three security guards were sacked after vehicle stickers, protocol plates and P135,000 cash were stolen at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Quezon City during the Holy Week. LTO acting head Raquel Desiderio also said they are still waiting for the results of the investigation conducted by the police, radio dzBB reported early on Thursday. Unidentified men broke into at least two offices of the LTO in Quezon City. The theft was discovered only on Monday. Among the items taken from the LTO were motorcycle stickers, protocol “8" plates, and P135,000 cash. The drawers of several desks in the affected offices had been found ransacked. Desiderio hinted at more sanctions, depending on the results of the police Scene of the Crime Operations (SOCO) investigation, the report said. - VVP, GMA News
