Yahoo Mail 'temporary' outage hits 1M users

At least one million users of Yahoo! Mail may have lost access to their accounts earlier this week, even as Yahoo! Mail said that the problem has already been resolved. Senior product manager Stephanie Shum assured users that Yahoo engineers have already isolated the root cause of the "temporary outage" and restored service. "We have isolated the root causes of the problem and have restored service. No email data was lost or at risk... We understand that being denied access to your email is extremely frustrating. Mail synchronization was blamed for causing data glitches on Windows Phone 7 devices.
