Phivolcs: Quakes hit Kalinga, Camarines Norte


At least two quakes rocked Kalinga in Northern Luzon and Camarines Norte in Bicol late Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. The Kalinga quake was recorded at 4:37 p.m. and was measured at magnitude 3.7, according to Phivolcs. The epicenter was 56 km northwest of Tabuk town in Kalinga, a Phivolcs bulletin said. A second quake measuring magnitude 3.9 was recorded at Daet town in Camarines Norte at 6:19 p.m., according to Phivolcs. The epicenter was 70 km northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte, a separate bulletin said. No damage or aftershock was expected from both quakes, Phivolcs said. — JE, GMA News
