Boy dies in Manila fire

A boy died in a fire that hit a residential area in Manila's Sampaloc district on Wednesday morning. The body of the child named "Adam" was found by arson investigators at the third floor of their house at Miguelin corner Florentino Street in Sampaloc.
The investigators said the child, earlier reported as missing, likely suffocated due to the smoke, according to a report by radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo. The fire started at 9:12 a.m. and razed four wooden houses along Miguelin Street in the Sampaloc district. The firefighters needed more than 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
