Fire hits residential area in Valenzuela City

A fire of undetermined origin razed at least six houses in a residential area in Valenzuela City early Friday. No one was initially reported hurt in the fire, which firefighters placed under control in less than an hour, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported. Fire Officer 1 Julius Vasquez said the fire started at 8:44 a.m. in Arkong Bato village in Valenzuela City and reached the third alarm, but firefighters placed it under control at 9:30 a.m. Arson investigators are still looking into what caused the fire, the same radio report said.
