Pakistani driver admits sexually assaulting Pinay in UAE

A Pakistani driver has admitted having sexually assaulting a Filipina cashier at the International City (IC) in the United Arab Emirates last April. In his court appearance this week, the defendant admitted before a UAE court that he groped the 30-year-old Filipina on April 2, the site Gulf News reported. He said he had consumed alcohol before going for a walk in the township, the report said. According to the report, the victim was walking back to her apartment after work on April 2 when she saw the Pakistani walking with another man in IC's France Cluster. Public prosecutors said when the Pakistani and the Filipina passed each other, the suspect groped the victim before running away. However, the victim's screams were heard by security officers who caught the suspect's companion, who in turn led the police to the defendant. A verdict is expected on May 29. - VVP, GMA News
